Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! I just wanted to catch you up on the latest with Jennuine Expressions. The Art Jubilee on February 24th was very well attended. And because so many people weren't able to attend, we rolled out a "Second Showing" on March 7th. Over 60 people attended in all. Gwendolyn raised over $400 for Friends of Down Syndrome, thanks to all your generous donations. And now my art is getting out into the Universe via "Pop Up Galleries".

I am delighted to have been invited as a guest artist and I will have three of my art pieces on display, including "Shabbat in the City" (magazine collage), "Little Girl Lost" (acrylic and color pencil), and "A New Beginning" (acrylic abstract). Artwork in Progress: "Isn't it Romantic?"
One of my favorite things to do is to find "hidden treasures" while searching through magazine images. I love looking for colors, textures, and patterns that appeal to me. And then organizing by color. This latest collage is actually made using mostly all purples ranging from light purple to brownish purple. I just love how romantic this piece feels to me. I have also added dimension to this piece by adding ribbon as tree trunk and branches, silk flowers and leaves, and the bird with charms attached.
